The Canadian Football League's championship game will be played in Toronto next year.

Grey Cup Odds 2016 Presidential

BMO Field will host the 2016 Grey Cup, a source has told The Canadian Press.

The CFL is expected to make the official announcement at a news conference Thursday afternoon at a downtown hotel.

Toronto last hosted the championship game in 2012 at Rogers Centre, where the Argonauts beat Calgary 35-22 in the 100th Grey Cup.

The Argonauts will move to BMO Field in 2016. They are currently playing their last season at Rogers Centre, their home since 1989.

This year's Grey Cup will be played at Winnipeg's Investors Group Field.

BMO Field is slated to undergo another round of renovation after the current Major League Soccer season. A canopy will be installed on three sides as well as a new lighting and sound system. A new hybrid grass surface will also be put in, which uses natural grass but reinforces it with artificial roots.

The renovation will also install seats that can be rolled back in the north and south stands to accommodate the longer CFL field and endzones.

New, bigger dressing rooms will also have to be built to accommodate football.

Immediately following the final whistle of the West final, the Calgary Stampeders were taking on the “Calgary vs Everybody” mantra as they head back to the Grey Cup for the fourth time in five years and will look to avenge their 2016 loss to the Ottawa Redblacks on Sunday in Edmonton. Calgary opened as 4-point betting favorites with the total at 53.5 points. The Redblacks avenged their 2015 Grey Cup loss with a 35–23 victory over Edmonton to earn the right to play in the 104th Grey Cup. At BMO Field in Toronto, the Redblacks won the first championship for an Ottawa CFL team since the Rough Riders did it in 1976. The 104th Grey Cup (Officially the 104th Grey Cup presented by Shaw) was a Canadian football game that was played on November 27, 2016, between the Calgary Stampeders and the Ottawa Redblacks, that decided the champion for the 2016 CFL season. Last season, the Edmonton Eskimos defeated the Ottawa Redblacks 26-20 in the 103rd Grey Cup. Apparently oddsmakers are optimistic about the Eskimos chances of repeating, with Edmonton listed as the favorite (+400) to win the championship. The first phase of renovations, completed before this MLS season, expanded stadium capacity to 30,000 with the addition of 8,400 seats in the east grandstand. Additional washrooms, concessions and premium fans options were also added.

Moneyline (ML)

The Tiger-Cats (-176) are relatively large favorites over the Blue Bombers (+145) in the championship game. Hamilton went 6-3 on the road over the regular season and Winnipeg was 3-6 before winning back-to-back road playoff games. The two sides will now meet at a neutral site.

Back HAMILTON to end its Grey Cup drought and extend Winnipeg’s by another year.

Against the Spread (ATS)

Both teams have been excellent ATS through the postseason. The Ti-Cats are 13-4 overall ATS and 6-2 on the road. The Bombers were 14-6 overall and 5-4 on the road, and covered as underdogs in each of their two road playoff games.

Stick with the TIGER-CATS, who’re laying -3.5 points at -110.

Over/Under (O/U)

Take the OVER 51.5 (-110). The Bombers had played to four straight Overs before falling short of the projected total last week against the Roughriders. The Tiger-Cats went 2-2-1 against the O/U over five games since the beginning of October.

Grey Cup Odds 2019

Four of the last five Grey Cups have fallen short of this year’s projected total, but Sunday is calling for clear skies and temperatures above freezing in Calgary. The runways will be clear.
